Mekong Moments

Cruising along narrow lanes we follow the winding waterways through fruit plantations and small villages, past papaya trees, sleepy hammocks, and bare foot children playing in the river. After the bustle of Saigon the silence is blissful, broken only by the whir of our bicycle tyres and muffled voices from the gardens. Zack and I were lucky enough to spend four days in the Mekong Delta, an area where it is difficult to avoid cliche descriptions of the lush environment. Idyllic to those who enjoy it only on holiday. Below are a few photos of our time there, first at Mekong Lodge near Cai Be and then at a Nguyen Shack near Can Tho, both were wonderful:
